1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of Backtester.app (the “service”). By registering or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. During the beta these terms may change; material changes will be announced in the dashboard.

2. What the service is

Backtester.app is a research tool that reads messages from a Telegram channel you select, extracts trading signals, and simulates those signals against historical market data. It produces a report of historical outcomes.

The service is not investment advice, a recommendation, a trading signal service, a broker, a fund or a portfolio manager. It does not execute trades and does not connect to a broker account. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Telegram or by any channel it measures.

3. Beta service

The service is offered as a limited beta. Access is approved manually and may be refused or revoked. Features, limits and data coverage can change without notice. There is no service-level agreement and no uptime guarantee. The service may be suspended for maintenance or capacity reasons. No fee is charged during the beta; if a paid offering is introduced, separate terms and pricing will apply and will be presented before any charge.

4. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not share it.
• New accounts are pending until an administrator activates them. Pending accounts cannot run backtests.
• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these terms.
• One person per account. Automated account creation is not permitted.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• attempt to access another user’s account, jobs, reports or data;
• attempt to bypass quotas, queue limits or approval controls, including through duplicate accounts, repeated requests, concurrent submissions or overlapping ranges;
• use the service to scrape, republish or redistribute a channel’s content, or to build a database of signals;
• probe, scan, overload or disrupt the service or its infrastructure;
• use the service for unlawful purposes, or in breach of Telegram’s terms or of any channel’s rights;
• resell or provide the service to third parties without written permission.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these rules, and may remove content or restrict access to protect the service or other users.

6. Quotas, queues and fair use

Activated beta accounts have daily limits, including a number of distinct channels and historical months per day, a maximum range per run, and limits on queued and concurrent jobs. The dashboard shows the limits that apply to you and the reset time. Quota is consumed when a job is accepted. Jobs run through a shared queue; queue positions are shown but completion times are not promised. Administrators may enable a global slow mode that reduces concurrency for everyone.

7. Your content and channel content

You confirm that you are entitled to request analysis of the channel you select. You do not receive any ownership of the channel’s content through the service. We process that content only to produce your report, as described in the privacy policy and retention schedule.

Reports are provided for your own use. You may not republish a report as a statement of a channel’s future performance or as investment advice.

8. No warranty; historical results

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Backtests are historical simulations based on stated assumptions, including candle resolution, spread, slippage, commission and same-candle policy. They are not predictions and do not guarantee future results. Data may be incomplete, delayed or contain errors. The parser may misread a message; such messages are flagged for review but may still be wrong. You are responsible for evaluating any result before relying on it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, loss of data or any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the service or reliance on a report. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. The specific liability position and any cap will be finalised on legal review before the service leaves beta.

10. Intellectual property

The service, its software, design and documentation are owned by the operator or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own research during the beta. Market data remains subject to its provider’s terms.

11. Termination and deletion

You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or end your access for breach of these terms or to protect the service. On deletion, account data, job metadata and reports are removed as described in the retention schedule; short-lived security and audit records may be retained for a limited period.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions: @backtester_admin on Telegram.

13. Governing law

The governing law and jurisdiction have not been fixed for the beta and will be completed on legal review before any paid offering. No legal entity, registration number or regulatory status is claimed on this page.
